My Bib: Reference and Bibliography Generator
Referencing can be daunting, with so many styles and categories to get right. My Bib is the best reference and bibliography generator I’ve found yet. All you have to do is copy and paste the reference link or doi and the reference is generated for you! My Bib offers every referencing style there is and cuts down on the time you spend making sure the right bits are in italics. Ever found yourself stuck on how to reference something completely out of the ordinary like a speech or a legal bill? My Bib’s got you, with over 30 different referencing categories. It also offers in text reference generators and the option to add notes for those of you who like to get fancy with annotated bibliographies. The paired extension makes research so simple, you can build your reference list as you go.
Bonus: your projects are shareable! Perfect for group projects to keep everything in one place.

Weava: Research Highlighter and Organizer
Sick and tired of having a million tabs open when doing research for a project? Weava is the fix you need. After having spent a few years using different web highlighters, Weava takes the win. You can either upload a pdf or simply highlight directly from the internet and Weava will store all of your annotations in one place. It makes it so easy to colour code your highlights, leave annotations on particular areas of interest and group research for different projects. Weava also has an extension to make it even quicker to highlight whatever and wherever you need. I also use Weava folders for my weekly readings, so I can easily access all my notes in one place in a seminar.

Google Keep: Notes and Lists
I will lose a Post-it note before I even have time to do whatever I wrote on it, so digital is the way to go for me. Google Keep is similar to other digital sticky note apps but superior for a few reasons. The website allows you to make different categories, to make sure you can separate uni, work and all the other things a busy student has going on. The notes aren’t limited by text: you can use the draw or image function to customise your quick thoughts. It even offers a reminder function to make sure you can stay on top of the notes you create. Simple, but effective.

Notion: All-in-One Workspace
Notion is a very unique platform in terms of complete ability for customisation. I personally use Notion’s student dashboard template to keep all of my lecture notes and slides in one place. The unlimited customisation options allow you to visualise and present your workspace any way you want (and you can make it really cute!) Chances are you already have your preferred note taking and organisation site, but Notion can do so much more. I use Notion as a Dissertation project tracker, meal planner, recipe storage, travel planner and so much more. Pro tip: starting Notion can be a serious learning curve, use free templates and customise them to your needs rather than building from scratch.
