Starting university comes with lots of questions so we’ve put together an Instagram Broadcast Channel specifically for new students joining The University of Manchester this year. It’s like a massive group chat for anyone arriving in Manchester in 2025 and you’re invited to be part of it..

Ana has been answering all of the most asked questions from the group, including this video on how to prepare for lectures. Anyone who joins the group has the chance to ask questions, interact with polls and react to the content they enjoy the most.
Takeovers from clubs and societies
Societies are an amazing way to meet new people, make friends and learn new skills during your time at university. The Students’ Union recently hosted a takeover on the channel to introduce some of the amazing student groups here at Manchester, including this interview with the Black Artistry and Creatives Society.
Insider tips from graduates
Our 2025 graduates have even got involved to answer questions directly from the group, including bucket list activities every Manchester student needs to try and advice for international students.
