November network upgrades: short outages ahead

We’re doing some major upgrades to the University’s network over November. This means there will be short planned periods where WiFi, wired connections, and some key systems might briefly go offline.

We’re doing most of this work during evenings and weekends so it impacts as few people as possible — but if you’re studying, submitting coursework, or using Uni systems during the times below, you might notice a short drop-out (around an hour max each time).

IT colleagues will be watching everything closely to make sure services come back online as expected.

Services that could be affected include WiFi and wired network, My Manchester, DUO Login, Campus Solutions, Oracle Finance and CRM, and some shared data storage.
