National Student Money Week 2026

The theme for this year is ‘Future Ready: Money Skills for Success’ and the Students’ Union are here to help you feel more confident about your next steps after university. 

Whether that’s thinking about understanding how tax works, what a workplace pension is or planning your goals after university they have got you covered!

What’s On

Monday, 9 March

10am-2pm – The team will be in the Student Union foyer handing out freebies and sharing cost-effective ways to save money on your groceries.

2:30pm-3.30pm- Get to grips with credit scores in this online interactive session delivered by Experian. Sign up here.

Tuesday, 10 March, 1.30pm-3.30pm
Come visit the team in Essentials to decorate a tote bag or create your own vision board. There’s also the opportunity to contribute to the ‘Life after Uni’ community vision board. Sign up here.

Wednesday, 11 March, 12-1pm
The SU are collaborating with Job Club to bring you a session dedicated to working after university. Here’s your opportunity to ask any questions you have about finding work, building an emergency fund and reading your payslip correctly. Sign up here.

Thursday, 12 March, 11am-12pm
A dedicated workshop covering financial topics after university. Come learn about tax codes, council tax, workplace pensions and so much more! Sign up here.
