Thursday 12, March is University Mental Health Day.
Organised by Student Minds and UMHAN, University Mental Health Day, aims to get the everyone talking about student wellbeing and working together to make mental health a university-wide priority. The theme for 2026 is human connection.
University Mental Health Day event
If you’re looking to meet new people, take a break from studying with friends, or to connect with others, join us at The Nest in the Students’ Union for games, zine making, plant pot painting and more.
Joining the Wellbeing team will be the Social Prescribers, SU Advice service, Student Wellbeing Champions, Student Reps, SU How’s You team and other support staff.
You can use the space to get to know what support is available to you, or just to have fun. Whether you’re coming with friends or on your own, you’re welcome to drop in throughout the day.

Headspace
The University and Students’ Union are currently offering a free subscription to Headspace for students. Headspace gives you access to hundreds of guided exercises for meditation, sleep, focus, and movement.
SpectrumLife
Spectrum.life provide a 24 hour helpline and app. Students can access mental health support from trained counsellors and advisors who are ready to listen and provide support whenever you need it. It’s anonymous, non-judgmental and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
