What is Eid al-Fitr?
Eid al-Fitr is the first of two canonical festivals of Islam. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwāl, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.
What’s on?
All students are welcome to join The University’s Parents, Carers and Guardians Network’s Celebrating Eid-ul Fitr event on Friday 4th April, 16:00-18:30 in the Nancy Rothwell Building, Ground Floor. There will be delicious halal food, cupcake decorating, games, henna application, gifts and much more
