Report & Support – Harassment, intimidation and misogyny

You may have seen media coverage recently relating to reports of very concerning behaviour experienced by some of our students.

We are grateful to those who have brought these issues around harassment, intimidation and misogyny to our attention. It takes great courage and leadership to stand up to this. We strongly encourage anyone who has experienced or witnessed this kind of behaviour to come forward so we can support you and take action.

These behaviours are unacceptable and fundamentally inconsistent with the values, professionalism, and standards expected within our University. No member of our community should ever be made to feel unsafe, intimidated, or harassed.

Our University’s Report & Support service is here for you to report any incident of bullying, harassment, discrimination, gender-based violence or hate. You will receive follow up support from a trained advisor, or reports can be made anonymously if preferred. You can read more about what happens after you make a report (either named, or anonymously) in the ’How does it work’ section of the page. All reports are taken seriously and acted upon.

We will continue to work closely with our students, colleagues, relevant associations and the wider community to address the specific issues that have been raised, but also to understand and tackle any wider cultural factors that may contribute to them.
