To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, students and staff are invited to attend a special commemorative event on Tuesday, 3 February at 2pm in the Students’ Union Club Academy.
This event will bring together powerful voices to reflect on the Holocaust, its lasting impact, and the importance of remembrance in today’s world.
The event welcomes two guest speakers:
- Michael Newman OBE – CEO of the Association of Jewish Refugees –
- Stuart Ferster – The son of a Holocaust survivor, Chaim Ferster
Holocaust Memorial Day is an opportunity to remember the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, alongside the millions of others who were persecuted and murdered by the Nazis. It also serves as a moment to reflect on contemporary forms of hatred and discrimination, and to recommit ourselves to building a more tolerant and inclusive society.
All are welcome to attend this important event. Entry is free, but sign up is required.
