Student Volunteering Week runs from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 February 2026, and it’s a chance to celebrate the impact student volunteers make — and to get involved too.

IT Services need to perform maintenance work on Wednesday 11 February and Thursday 12 February 2026, resulting in a short disruption to network connectivity at some point between 6.30pm and 9pm on both evenings.

February in Manchester brings together romantic evenings, cultural celebrations and feel-good activities to get you through the last stretch of winter. Whether you’re looking for something creative, active or just a cosy night out with friends, there’s plenty happening across the city.

IT Services will be performing planned maintenance on the Campus Solutions student system, which means it will be unavailable on the specified dates.

Final – year undergraduates spend just a few minutes sharing your experience of Uni and you could win VIP backstage Parklife tickets, flight vouchers or a graduation package.

Most services through Manchester Piccadilly will be affected by a planned closure from Saturday 14 February to Sunday 22 February, and again on Saturday 1 March and Sunday 22 March (until 13:00).

With Semester 2 just around the corner, now is a great time to think about how you could add something different to your studies with free course units.

The University of Manchester has entered a partnership with Microsoft to become one of the world’s first universities to provide its 65,000 staff and students with equitable access to the full Microsoft 365 Copilot AI suite, alongside training to support effective use.

Essential work is scheduled to take place between 8am on Saturday 24 and 8pm on Sunday 25 January. It is not anticipated that students will experience disruption during this time, but should be aware that this will be an “at risk” period.
