With 10th to 14th February being Student Volunteering Week, there’s no better time to get involved in volunteering.

Before things get too busy this semester let student content creator Hanifah help you make the most of Uni and everything the city and just beyond have to offer.

We know many of you are feeling the pressure of rising living costs right now, and we understand that any increase in rent can add to financial worries. With that in mind, we want to be transparent about the steps we’re taking, why they’re necessary, and how we’re supporting students who are most affected.

The Advice and Response Team and Manchester Student Homes are hosting a student safety event on 6th Feb (11-3) in the Foyer of Uni Place. The event coincides with Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week and Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week (3-9 Feb).

‘Strategy’ – it’s a word we hardly heard as students; unless it was the strategy for a pub crawl to enable all players to attend for as long as possible. That instantly changed when we were elected as Executive Officers at the Students’ Union.

We’re looking for Postgraduate Researchers to join the Manchester Access Programme (MAP) as academic tutors. You’ll be paid to tutor local sixth form students from underrepresented groups, and support their progression to University.
