All colleagues, students and the wider community are invited to take part in a public lighting of the menorah, with live music, hot chocolate and doughnuts. Tuesday, 16 December | 6pm | Brunswick Park

The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a national survey sent to all graduates across the country 15 months after you complete your course to ask what you’re doing now and how your degree has helped you.

IT Services will be performing planned maintenance on the Campus Solutions student system, which means it will be unavailable from 7pm on Friday 12 December to 8am on Monday 15 December 2025.

Take a short survey about your awareness of the University Centre for Academic English. Your feedback helps improve support, and you could win a £50 Amazon voucher. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday 19 December.

Purplewave joins the Manchester South Park Run on Saturday, 13 December, at 09am. This event is free to take part in, but you can add some festive cheer by wearing a Santa hat – available for just £2.50. Hats are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so grab yours early.

Our University aims to be zero carbon by 2038, and we all have a part to play in reaching this goal. Over the festive closure period, the University sees a reduction of 25% in energy usage (equating a cost saving of £150,000), but we could be saving even more.

Church communities are hosting a range of community and student events as well as Christmas services for all throughout the festive period where you will be made to feel very welcome. Our University chaplains will also be on hand to offer support.
